Modern biochemistry is an integrated science that requires us, on the one hand, to explore mechanisms in the context of increasingly complex macromolecular machines and cellular pathways and, on the other hand, to leverage the quantitative logic framework and high-resolution techniques from the physical and chemical disciplines. In the Shan lab, we are committed to training interdisciplinary scientists who can integrate these diverse approaches to address important problems in life science.

We are looking for scientists with interest and experience in protein biochemistry, enzymology, and/or biophysics. Interested postdoc candidates should contact Dr. Shan directly.
